Preston Board and Packaging
Preston Board and Packaging Ltd was founded in 1981 by its current owners David Hardman and Charles Ingham. The company started with one laminator and auxiliary equipment, primarily manufacturing laminated and lined chipboards for the packaging, bedding, cable reel and food industries.
In 1986, a second laminator was built enabling the company to substantially increase its output and range of products. Our current range of products now includes laminated and sheeted unlined chipboards up to 5000 microns, one and two sided Kraft and white lined chipboards, foil and polyester lined chipboards in a variety of colours and embossed designs, specialist coloured and embossed design papers lined to folding box and chipboards and a full range of display boards.
Our auxiliary equipment offers the facility to guillotine trim, round corner, slot and platen cut many of the qualities we manufacture.
In 1994, the group purchased Romiley Board Mill in Romiley, Cheshire which was a primary supplier of unlined chipboard to the laminating plant at Preston. Romiley Board Mill manufactures a range of unlined grey chipboard, coloured chipboards and speciality boards for a wide range of industrial uses.
The Preston Board and Packaging Ltd group now manufactures and sells in the region of 65,000 tonnes of paperboard per annum, covering many paperboard grades used in the industry today and employs a trained and dedicated workforce of over 150 people.
